The Basic plan allows up to 100 people. That&#039;s plenty for most people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Business plan is for 150 users, and the Enterprise plan is for 250 users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the only difference between the plans; all other features are the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p> As the shift to online continues, Enterprise plans will be offered for all plans until the end of September. <\/p><cite> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itmedia.co.jp\/news\/articles\/2004\/10\/news081.html\" class=\"aioseop-link\"><strong>Google extends free premium features of its web conferencing service &quot;Meet&quot; until the end of September<\/strong>!<\/a> I used the following as reference.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"googlehangout_meet%e3%81%ae%e4%be%bf%e5%88%a9%e3%81%aa%e6%a9%9f%e8%83%bd%ef%bc%81zoom%e3%81%a8%e6%af%94%e8%bc%83\"><\/span>Useful features of Google (Hangout) Meet! Compared to Zoom<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I have been using Zoom for a long time, so I would like to compare the ease of use of Google (Hangout) Meet compared to Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A unique URL is issued for each conference room.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you set up a meeting with Google (Hangout) Meet, a unique URL is issued for each meeting, which can be accessed without a password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you set up a meeting with Zoom by specifying a time, a unique URL and even a password will be issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the same for Google and Zoom. Google does not require a password, but security has been strengthened, so it should be fine without a password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create an event from Google Calendar and issue a meeting room URL<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can set up a Google (hangout) meet from Google Calendar. You can also create meetings from Google Calendar using the Zoom app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cocoon-blocks-icon-box information-box common-icon-box block-box\">\n<p>As of May 2020, you can now start a Google Meet meeting from the Gmail app. You can issue a meeting URL as a host from the Gmail app, or join from an invited meeting URL.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this respect, there is no difference between Google (Hangout) Meet and Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You can join online meetings without installing an app<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Zoom requires the installation of a dedicated app, whereas Google (Hangout) Meet works on a browser, so no app needs to be installed. However, a dedicated app is required to access from a smartphone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements for Google (hangout) meet include<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>chromet<\/li><li>Fire fox<\/li><li>Safari<\/li><li>Edge<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It says that you can use it without installing the app. For smartphones, you will need to install a dedicated app to join Google (Hangout) Meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Security<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Zoom&#039;s vulnerability has been highlighted<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a aria-label=\"Google bans employees from using Zoom (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/gigazine.net\/news\/20200409-google-bans-zoom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"aioseop-link\">Google bans employees from using Zoom<\/a><\/li><li><a aria-label=\"Taiwan government agencies ban Zoom (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/jp.techcrunch.com\/2020\/04\/08\/2020-04-07-taiwans-government-bars-its-agencies-from-using-zoom-over-security-concerns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"aioseop-link\">Taiwanese government agencies ban use of Zoom<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/jp.reuters.com\/article\/zoom-video-commn-privacy-senate-idJPKCN21R1IQ\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"US Senate bans Zoom (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"aioseop-link\">US Senate bans use of Zoom<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As of April 2020, articles like this one are appearing online. I was worried that the ban would come soon in Japan too, so I switched to Google (hangout) meet early. Since it&#039;s Google, I think that even if a security vulnerability is found, it will be resolved quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Number of simultaneous online meeting participants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Zoom&#039;s free plan allows for up to 40 minutes for simultaneous meetings with three or more participants, and unlimited time for one-on-one meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the case of Google (Hangout) Meet, even with Basic, up to 100 people can participate in online meetings at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No makeup required! Snap Camera app<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use the Snap Camera app, which automatically enables video recording on both Zoom and Google (Hangour) Meet. You can join Google (Hangout) Meet even if you do not have a Google account!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No password required<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike Zoom, there is no system for generating passwords. Each meeting has its own unique URL, allowing you to start a meeting safely without a password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Screen sharing feature is problematic<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Since Zoom runs on an app, even if you use the screen sharing function to share a browser or file, the Zoom app will shrink and you will always be able to see the other person&#039;s face, whereas Google (Hangout) Meet runs on a browser, so the other person&#039;s face will be visible on the browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, if you display a different browser or share a PowerPoint presentation in full screen, you will not be able to see the other person&#039;s face. In other words, you will not be able to see the other person&#039;s reaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this regard, I hope that the screen sharing function of Google (Hangout) Meet will be improved!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Summary of the differences between Zoom and Google (Hangout) Meet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is not much difference between Zoom and Google (Hangout) Meet. Since it is a paid plan, you can participate in online meetings at the same time if you also use a paid plan for Zoom.
