in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words, cookie regulations overseas<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>In the European Union (EU) and the United States, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force in May 2018 and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) came into force in January 2020, respectively, which have strengthened regulations regarding cookies and similar tracking technologies on websites and mobile apps (cookie regulations). As a result, companies are now working in earnest to comply with cookie regulations, such as through cookie banners.<\/p><cite>https:\/\/cookie.bizrisk.iij.jp\/blog\/cookie-faq-01<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>This law is being implemented based on the idea that data collected through cookies is also personal information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, in Japan, the data collected by cookies can only identify the device and browser, so it is not considered personal information, and so it seems that this GDPR notation is not mandatory at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, this may change in the future depending on how personal information laws are revised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%e5%a4%9a%e8%a8%80%e8%aa%9e%e3%82%b5%e3%82%a4%e3%83%88%e3%83%bb%e6%b5%b7%e5%a4%96%e5%90%91%e3%81%91%e3%81%ae%e3%82%b5%e3%83%bc%e3%83%93%e3%82%b9%e3%82%92%e7%b4%b9%e4%bb%8b%e3%81%97%e3%81%a6%e3%81%84%e3%82%8b%e3%82%b5%e3%82%a4%e3%83%88%e3%81%a0%e3%81%a3%e3%81%9f%e3%82%89\"><\/span>If it&#039;s a multilingual site or a site introducing services for overseas users<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"marker\"><strong>GDPR notation is a must!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apparently there have been cases overseas where penalties have actually been imposed, so it seems better to display it than not to display it at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%e3%81%9d%e3%82%82%e3%81%9d%e3%82%82cookie%e3%81%a8%e3%81%af%ef%bc%9f\"><\/span>First of all, what are cookies?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This function saves the browsing history of your web browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%e3%81%be%e3%81%a8%e3%82%81%e3%82%8b%e3%81%a8\"><\/span>Summary<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not a required item for service deployment within Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, if your site is multilingual or offers services for overseas users, it would be a good idea to display GDPR information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, there is no rule in Japan that says you can&#039;t display GDPR information, so if you&#039;re worried there&#039;s no problem with displaying it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"sc\"><a
