How to issue invoice-compatible receipts with Stripe (including setup with the membership plugin Padi Membership Pro)

When submitting expense reports, customers now ask whether invoices are supported.
If you are using Stripe, we will show you how to set up an eligibility number and issue an invoice-compatible receipt!

Registration of Eligible Business Number

First, log in to Strpe and register in the invoice settings.

You can also open it from this text link after pressing the ⚙ icon.

Set in the Tax tab

Go to the Tax tab and set the ID type to [JP TRN]. Enter the registrant number as follows:

Once you've done that, click "Set as default."

Automatic tax calculation settings

Next, return to the top page, go to Tax on the left sidebar, and click the [Get Started] button to automate tax processing for Stripe transactions.

If no tax rate is set,Qualified invoice issuer registration numberis designed so that it is not displayed.

Set predefined tax types

Select the product category.

Add Tax Registration

If you are a tax-paying business, you will need to set up additional tax registration. This is an optional part, so if you are not a registered business, you do not need to set it up.

Select Japan.

Click on the Product Catalog to view your registered products. Click on the three dots on the far right of the product and click on "Edit Price".

If tax is shown, it's OK.

Settings > Payment Gateway and SSL
Open

• Calculate tax rate with Stripe Checkout
• Collect Taxpayer ID with Stripe Checkout

Set it up. As mentioned in the notes, this setting will only work if you have already set up the tax settings in Stripe as explained above.

How to set tax rates for products that have already been created

The product catalog contains a list of existing services. Edit the product to set the tax.

Under Edit Item, click Edit Price.
