First, apply for a free trial of Xserver

Until now, I had been holding lessons on Xserver's free server, xfree, but there was such a high demand for Xserver that many students would go home after the lesson and sign up for Xserver, so I thought that if I held a group course using Xserver's trial period, it would save customers the trouble of registering.

Xserver's free trial period is 10 days. If you do not pay for this period, your user ID will be frozen.

Xserver free domain campaign application

Once you have completed the registration, payment and server contract, you are ready to apply for the free domain campaign.
This free domain campaign is very misleading.
There are two types of domains: gift domains and campaign domains.
Click on your campaign domain to claim it.

If you signed up for a server contract during the campaign held from December 13, 2019 to April 30, 2020, you must apply for the free domain campaign by May 31, 2020, or the campaign will become invalid.

What to do after signing up for a server and acquiring a domain?

Just completing a server contract and acquiring a domain does not mean you will be able to build WordPress on the web.
You will need to set up the domain from the server administration panel.

Xserver makes it very easy to install WordPress.
Sakura Rental ServerIn this case, you need to create a database before installing WordPress. Furthermore, you need to create a directory such as hanami-web.tokyo.jp/wp, otherwise WordPress cannot be installed, so you need to delete the directory.

First, set up your domain

First, log in to your server administration panel.

The login information for the Xserver account (formerly the Infopanel) is different from the server login information.

The server login information is the information in the image below included in the email you received when you first registered.

In addition to logging in directly from the server administration panel, you can also log in from the server administration of your Xserver account (formerly the info panel).

After logging in to your Xserver account, click [Server Management] to log in to the server management panel.

Domain Settings

Click "Domain Settings" on the Server Administration panel.

Click [Add domain settings]

Enter the domain and click [Proceed to confirmation screen].

Check the details and click [Add].

If you acquire a new domain from Xserver, SSL will also be enabled.About 30 minutes to 1 hourIf you see the message "No homepage has been uploaded to this webspace yet," the setup is complete.
All you have to do is do a quick install of WordPress.

WordPress Easy Install Feature

You can easily set up WordPress by using Xserver's WordPress quick installation function.

Click on WordPress Easy Install

In the server administration panel

Select the domain you want to install

Enter the required information for installing WordPress

The fields you need to enter are

Blog name	Blog title
username	User name for logging in to the administration panel (cannot be changed)
password	Password used to log in to the administration panel
email address	Email address to receive WordPress update notifications

Everything except the username can be changed from the dashboard (WordPress admin screen)

Finally, click [Proceed to confirmation screen]

Install WordPress

• Site URL
• username
• password
• MySQL database name
• MySQL Username
• MySQL Password

Check and click Install.
This information is important becauseIt's a good idea to take a screen captureis.

Management page URL

The initial login URL after installing WordPress is
Domain(xxx.com)/wp-admin/

This URL is the same for everyone, so when security is strengthened,
