Lately, I've been hooked on Brizy, a no-code page builder plugin for WordPress.

The number of people who want to earn money from web development at home is increasing, and many of them think they have to learn HTML syntax from scratch, but if you use a page builder plugin, you can build a WordPress site without coding, so I think you can actually start earning money with just a short period of learning!

What WordPress theme should I use?

The page builder plugin I'm introducing this time is Brizy.PluginSo you need a theme.

I do use themes, but I don't use the default design of the theme at all and build the design from scratch in Brizy, so the default Twenty Twenty-One would be fine, but I think it's easier to use if there are more widget parts, so I tried out a variety of them.

The first theme I tried was the free theme Cocoon.

Cocoon has a large number of widgets and many design parts for writing blogs, so I started building using cocoon.

As a bonusCompletely free theme! This was also the deciding factor.

However, perhaps due to the cocoon cache, CSS often becomes unresponsive after Brizy updates. This can be fixed by updating the site.Find an easy-to-use theme among the themes recommended by BrizyI decided to do it!

8 themes recommended by Brizy

A theme that works well with the page builder plugin Brizy

  • Blocksy
  • Neve - AMP compatible
  • Translate press - perfect for multilingual sites
  • ASTRA- Popular themes
  • Page Builder Framework
  • Ocean WP
  • Zita - Demo site made with Brizy
  • SUKI

Eight popular overseas WordPress themes are introduced. I would like to actually use all of the themes and verify their ease of use.

It is a verification point
In Brizy, it is possible to display parts that have been inserted as widgets or display menu lists registered in the menu, so I investigated the types of widgets and menus.
I think the fact that it is available in Japanese is also a factor to consider when choosing.

Blocksy

Free WordPress theme Blocksy

Enter [Blocksy] in [Theme] > [Add New].
A list of demo sites made with Blocksy and Brizy is available.

Number of widgets

There were 7 widget parts.

Theme-enhanced widgets

Number of menu items

There are four types of menus

Heading font

There is a place to set the color of the heading.

Neve

Free WordPress theme Neve

Search for "Neve" under "Theme" > "Add New"

Once activated, I was directed to the starter site.

The admin screen has been translated into Japanese!

The system allows users to start building their website by selecting a design template from an affiliated plugin or other tool.

[Appearance] > [Customize]Japanese!!

Widgets

There are six types of widgets

menu

There are only three menu options and it is very simple.

Heading font

You can make detailed settings such as the heading size and line spacing, but I couldn't find a way to set the font color of the heading.

Translate press

Translate press was a paid theme, so it was excluded from the survey.

Astra

WordPress theme Astra

Search for [Astra] under [Theme] > [Add New]

CustomizationLocalizing into JapaneseIt has been!

We had a starter site.

Widgets

There are four types of widgets

The theme added one widget.

menu

There are five different menus. One of them, "Menu for logged-in account," is of concern to me. Is it suitable for a membership site?

Heading font

Headings can be set by font size, line spacing, etc., rather than color.

Page Builder Framework

WordPress Free Theme Page Builder Framework

Search for [Page Builder Framework] under [Theme] > [Add New]

Widgets

There is only one type of widget part. I feel like one type is not enough.

Also, for some reason the old widget design was reflected automatically.

menu

There are four types of menu

Heading font

You can change the font size of the headings a little bit.

Ocean WP

Free WordPress theme Ocean WP

Search for [Ocean WP] under [Theme] > [Add New]

I received a notification to install a recommended plugin called Ocean Extra, so I enabled that as well.

It came with a starter site.

[Appearance] > [Customize]Localizing into Japanese!

Widgets

There are seven types of widgets.

menu

There are four types of menu

Heading font

This has the widest variety. All font sizes and colors are available.

I actually created a website using OceanWP x Brizy and it was great!
One thing to note is that the sticky header feature, which fixes the header to the top when you scroll, is a paid feature, and since I think there are many people who would like to implement it, you should consider whether to purchase it.

Zita

Free WordPress theme Zita

Search for [Zita] under [Theme] > [Add New]

It came with a starter site!

Widgets

It had the most widgets. I don't need that many types though...

You can adjust the font size etc.

I was a bit worried, but I decided to try using Brizy based on Ocean WP for a while!

Like in the Japanese blog theme

  • table of contents
  • Border

These features are not included in the foreign themes introduced here, so you will need to set them up using a separate plugin.
