Credit installment payments now available with Stripe!

For teachers who sell their skills, there is a growing need for installment payments for high-priced items.
We would like to introduce a new payment method that has been released on Sttipe.

What is credit installment payment?

With regular installment payments, like with subscription payments, if the payment is made in 12 installments, the installment amount is paid to the business every month. However, with the system we are introducing here, the business receives a lump sum payment, just like with regular credit card payments, and the customer pays in installments.

Apart from Stripe, there are several other companies such as Univapay and Alphanote that offer credit installment payment services, but the drawback is that the screening process is strict and it is often difficult to get approved, and the fees are high.

Stripe credit installment fees

There are no additional fees for splitting the payment.
It is the standard 3.6%.

However, customers may have to pay interest on their credit cards, except for two installments and bonus payments.

Stripe Credit Installment Requirements

• Splitting is only available for Japanese Stipe accounts
• Payment in installments is possible only with credit cards issued in Japan
• Must be in Japanese Yen
• VISA/Master can be divided into up to 60 parts
• JCB can be split into up to 24 parts
• Diners Club and Discover are not accepted.
• American Express does not offer split payment options. However, American Express does offer a service that allows you to change to split payment options after payment.
