What is Site Kit by Google?

This is the official WordPress plugin provided by Google. It is an access analysis plugin that makes it easy to install and manage tools that analyze how users find and visit your site.

Plugin specifications often change, but this is a video explaining how to set up the Site Kit by Google plugin as of September 2022. Although it has been officially announced that Universal Analytics measurement will end on July 1, 2023, you can currently create two types of accounts, Universal Analytics and GA4, through the plugin with no code and link them to your site!

There are six different functions available.

1. Google Analytics

  • Open an Analytics account from the dashboard (if you already have an account, connect to your existing data)
  • Check your stats on the dashboard

2. Search console

This is a standard access analysis tool that allows you to find out what keywords each page on your site was displayed for in Google searches, how highly ranked it was, and how many times it was displayed.

What can you do with Site Kit?

  • Open a Search Console account from the dashboard (if you already have an account, connect your existing data)
  • Check your stats on the dashboard

3. AdSense

These are ads provided by Google. Have you ever had the experience of a product you were looking at on a recent online shop being displayed as an ad while you were browsing the site? These ads are AdSense.

What can you do with Site Kit?

  • Apply for AdSense through the dashboard
  • Check your earnings on the dashboard

4.PageSpeed Insights

You can find out how your site's performance is evaluated, including page speed.

5. Tag Manager

You can centrally manage tags such as Google Analytics effect measurement tags, remarketing tags, conversion tags, etc. You can set it up from Site Kit without inserting any code.
